Short Course: Ecological Economics for Scientists and Engineers

Have you ever wondered if there are limits to growth or how the drive for ever increasing GDP affects sustainability and the use of resources? Have you wondered why we still buy more things even though it doesn’t always make us happier? Have you wondered if they are alternative economic or business models that would help move us to more a sustainable future?

We’ve teamed up with Engineers for a Sustainable World (ESW) and the Young Scholars Initiative at the Institute for New Economic Thinking to deliver an online 5-week course designed to provide both students and professionals with an introduction to alternative economic ideas, connecting them to the development of more sustainable technologies.

The course will run from February 18th to March 17th with weekly web meetings on Wednesdays from 12:00-1:00pm EDT, 17:00-18:00pm GMT with a mixture of presentations, discussions and group activities.

Places are limited so book now to ensure your place. Cost is $30 with a 60% reduction if you are a NESSE member.
